Two more cruise lines plan Black Friday deals

Add Norwegian and Costa to the list of cruise lines preparing a Thanksgiving promotion.

Miami-based Norwegian says it’ll kick off a week-long offer on Wednesday that will bring on-board spending credits of up to $250 per cabin. Eligible sailings include three-day or longer voyages to Alaska; the Bahamas and Florida; Bermuda; the Caribbean; Europe; and Hawaii.

Italy-based Costa, Europe’s largest cruise line, is planning a “Black Friday” sale that it says will feature its lowest rates of the season on select Mediterranean and Caribbean sailings. Cruise-only fares for 11-night eastern Mediterranean departures will start at $599 per person, based on double occupancy, and seven- to 11-night western Mediterranean cruises will begin at $399. The line’s 10-night Caribbean cruises will start at $699.

Costa’s sale prices will be available online only starting at midnight on Wednesday and via phone starting at 9 a.m. ET on Friday. Rates will remain at their lowest throughout the day Friday, based on availability, the line says.

As part of the Costa offer, the line also is offering a $100 per person onboard credit for booking a balcony cabin on select seven-night Costa Concordia sailings or 11-night Costa Serena sailings.

Also planning a Black Friday sale for trips to Alaska only is Princess Cruises. Read more about what Princess is planning.
