Thanksgiving Re-enacted

Re-enacters watch the Godspeed, a reproduction of a Jamestown ship. Every November, the Virginia Thanksgiving Festival, whose members contend that Berkeley Plantation, not Plymouth, was the site of the real first Thanksgiving, recreates the 1619 event when a ship called the Margaret reached the James River and put 38 men ashore.
