Princess Cruises plans post-Thanksgiving sale

Princess Cruises is planning a post-Thanksgiving sale on Alaska trips — a first for the company.

The five-day After Thanksgiving Alaska Sale, as the line is calling it, will kick off Friday and bring savings of up to $1,000 on Princess cruisetours in the state — trips that combine a cruise along the Alaska coast with rail travel to Denali National Park and stays at Princess wilderness lodges.

As part of the offer, bookers also will get up to a $50 onboard credit.

Princess also will be offering a free balcony upgrade and up to $100 in onboard credit to customers who want to book an Alaska cruise that is not part of a cruisetour.

Sale fares for 10-day “Denali Explorer” cruisetours will start at $1,213 per person for departures in May (peak season August departures start at $1,740). Longer, 13-day cruisetours start at $1,618 per person for departures in May (August departures from $2,373).

Sale fares for seven-day cruises without a land tour component start at $699 per person for departures in May ($999 for August departures).

The sale will begin on Friday at 12:00 am PST and run through 11:59 pm PST on Tuesday, Nov. 29. Sale prices are available to residents of the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico, and reservations made during the sale require a non-refundable deposit.
