Hilton spent about $1 million alone to update the Rainbow Tower’s largest suites – the Duke Kahanamoku Suite and the Niumalu Suite.

“The renovations were done in a warm, friendly nature that fit in with the aloha spirit of the 2,200 people who work here,” says Jerry Gibson, Hilton Hawaii’s area vice president and managing director.

The tower also received state-of-the-art elevators and elevator lobbies.

The Rainbow Tower is located near the beach and the Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon, and has oceanfront views overlooking Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head.

“It looks absolutely spectacular, with vibrant colors and warm tones,” Gibson said of the tower.

The hotel’s website has rooms starting at $201 a night.
